Barcelona Score 17 Goals in Four La Liga Games After 5-0 Valencia Win

Barcelona's attacking form shows no sign of slowing down.

Hansi Flick's side produced another five-goal performance on Sunday, beating Valencia 5-0 at Mestalla to maintain their perfect start to the La Liga season.

The victory leaves Barcelona with 12 points from four matches and three points clear at the top of the table.

The defending champions have now scored 17 goals in their opening four league games, averaging more than four goals per match.

Another five goal performance for Barcelona

Barcelona had already scored five goals against Levante and Rayo Vallecano earlier in the campaign, while their other victory came against Athletic Club.

Against Valencia, Fermín López opened the scoring before Lamine Yamal added a second. Raphinha and Pedri also found the net, while Yamal completed his brace late in the game.

The result means Barcelona have scored at least five goals in three of their four league matches so far.

It is an impressive start, particularly considering the number of attacking options available to Flick.

Fermín López makes his case for Man of the Match

While Yamal's two goals naturally put him among the leading candidates for the Man of the Match award, Fermín arguably had the strongest all round performance.

The midfielder scored once and created two goals, playing a major role in Barcelona's dominance at Mestalla. Reuters also identified him as the standout performer in the 5-0 victory.

Yamal, meanwhile, continued his excellent start to the campaign with another brace.

The 19 year old has already become one of Barcelona's most important attacking players, while Raphinha added another goal to his impressive start to the season.

Raphinha continues to deliver

Raphinha's goal against Valencia was his sixth of the La Liga season, putting him among the early leaders in the Pichichi race.

His form has given Barcelona another reliable source of goals, while Yamal and Fermín have also contributed heavily to the team's attacking output.

That balance could prove important as the season becomes more demanding and Barcelona begin competing across multiple competitions.

Barcelona already look dangerous

Four games into the season, Barcelona have made their intentions clear.

They are scoring freely, creating chances from different areas and getting goals from several players rather than depending on one attacker.

There is still a long way to go in the title race, but a 100 per cent record and 17 goals from four matches give Flick plenty to be happy about.

And after another five goal victory, the question is simple... who was your Man of the Match; Fermín López or Lamine Yamal?
