Harry Kane Makes Bundesliga History With Fastest 100 Goals

Harry Kane has made Bundesliga history by becoming the fastest player ever to score 100 goals in the German top flight.

The Bayern Munich striker reached the landmark in just 98 Bundesliga appearances, setting a new record after scoring against Union Berlin on today Friday, 18th of September 2026.

Kane's 100th goal came from the penalty spot in the first half after Michael Olise was brought down inside the area.

The England captain made no mistake from 12 yards to bring up another remarkable milestone in his Bayern career.

The achievement is particularly notable because Kane had entered the match with 99 Bundesliga goals from 97 appearances.

The league's official website had already highlighted the possibility of him breaking the record against Union Berlin.

Kane breaks a record that stood for nearly five decades

Before Kane, the fastest player to reach 100 Bundesliga goals was Dieter Müller, who needed 129 matches to reach the milestone with Cologne in 1977.

Kane has now beaten that mark by 31 appearances, reaching 100 goals in 98 games.

His scoring rate has also been remarkable. Since joining Bayern from Tottenham in 2023, Kane has averaged a Bundesliga goal roughly every 78.5 minutes, according to the Bundesliga's pre-match statistics.

That rate was already ahead of several of the competition's most prolific modern strikers.

The milestone adds another record to a Bayern spell that has already produced an extraordinary number of goals.

Kane recently became the fastest player in Bayern's history to score 150 goals for the club, reaching that figure in 153 appearances.

At 33, the England captain continues to add new records to his name, and his latest Bundesliga achievement places him in another piece of league history.
