Rodri has written an emotional farewell letter to Manchester City supporters after ending his seven year spell at the club and completing his move to Barcelona.

“It’s hard to find the words to express how much gratitude, love and support my family and I have experienced all these years.”

Rodri recalled arriving at Manchester City and being overwhelmed by the opportunity to play alongside some of the club's biggest stars.
He specifically remembered the excitement of joining a team featuring Kevin De Bruyne, Sergio Agüero, David Silva, Bernardo Silva and John Stones, while Pep Guardiola was waiting to begin working with him.
Rodri also joked about Guardiola's tactical demands, admitting that he initially wondered whether he could handle everything his new manager wanted him to learn.
