João Pedro has put his long-term future in Chelsea's hands, expressing his happiness at extending his stay with the club and his belief in what the team can achieve.
The Brazilian forward has signed a new contract with Chelsea that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2034, the club said.
Speaking about the agreement, João Pedro said the opportunity to commit his future to Chelsea means a great deal to him.
“I have always dreamed of playing for a big club, and it means a lot to me to give my long-term commitment to this club.”
The 24 year old also pointed to Chelsea's history and ambitions as reasons for his confidence in the club's future.
“Chelsea has a long tradition of winning, and it has big ambitions for the future.”
João Pedro Feels at Home in London
João Pedro's comments also show how quickly he has settled into life at Chelsea and in London.
“I have felt at home in London from the moment I joined,” he said.
That sense of belonging appears to have strengthened his desire to stay at the club long term.
Since arriving from Brighton in 2025, João Pedro has become an important part of Chelsea's attacking options.
He scored 20 goals in all competitions last season, further strengthening his position within the squad.
Now, with his future secured, his attention is firmly on what Chelsea can achieve on the pitch.
“We Know We Can Achieve a Lot”
João Pedro believes Chelsea have the quality and leadership required to compete for major honours.
“Everyone is very excited for this season,” he said.
“We know we can achieve a lot; we have a great team, we have a coach who wants to win and has won already.”
The Brazilian also made his personal commitment clear...
“I am fully committed.”
Chelsea's decision to secure João Pedro on such a long-term contract reflects the club's belief in his value to the team.
For the forward, meanwhile, the new agreement gives him the stability to focus entirely on football and help Chelsea pursue their ambitions.
His message is straightforward... he feels at home, believes in the project, and wants to be part of Chelsea's future.
